"Strange!!"

It was only today when I came across an article from the newspaper, and it made me realize why my parents behave in such ways.

I feel so strange recently as my parents seem to “care” about me too much, and they want to see me around them for every single minute.

The article is about the security in our country, which is in an alarming state. From Mat Rempit to snatch theft, the article elaborates well and advices we, the youngsters should stay at home when the day starts to become dark.

It says about why youngsters like to come out at night, when it is the time for us to rest and gather with our family members. Mamak stalls, pubs, and so on are the usual places where we youngsters like to gather around. It says about why youngsters like to gather and chat (without any purposes) during such a late time. Instead, we should gather with our family and watch TV programme together. I was struck as my friends and I always do this thing together.

The article also touches on the attitudes of the “young drivers” as if there are no rules on the road. Some of them are drunkards. I realize not only my parents, my friends’ parents will also worry if their children are outside late in the night.

Maybe I am going to enter university soon and my parents just want to be with me for this moment. But I really feel weird and confuse sometimes when they say something. To me, sometimes they are “over care”. I’ve told them that I should start to learn things by myself at my age, but they still worry too much.

My ability is being doubted? I can’t gain their confidence? I don’t know.
