It’s has been a long time since I last updated my blog. Probably two to three months ago. All these are because I’m starting my new life in NUS, which take times for me to adapt to this new environment, as well as new friends that I had made.
Well, what I can say about Singapore is that it is a small country with high efficiency( I think so), especially its public transportation. The foods are average(compared to my hometown, Melaka), but at least they can help to fill up my stomach. That’s good enough for me. My room is in quite good condition, and I got used to it within a day!
Seniors here are very approachable and friendly.Warm enough to be good, or even best friends. They are so “energetic” until I barely able to follow them. Play and play and play….non-stop…..and for the first week, I didn’t even have time to hold my breath. And I was really tired both physically and mentally. My room was being cleaned only in the third week since I came to NUS. You can imagine how “busy” I was during that period.
NUS is a place consists of various type of people, different in terms of colours, cultures, and creeds. People from every corner of the world can almost be seen in NUS. And frankly speaking, I feel proud to be part of the NUS’s family.
There are always some drawbacks in the middle of advantages. The only thing I don’t like is the “hustle and bustle” lifestyle in Singapore. If you have the chance, try to go to Bugis and walk around. I guess you may feel terrible when you want to cross a road. You may have the opportunity to experience “human congestion” which is hardly to be found in my hometown.
My lecture will start in two more days. Feeling a bit excited and worry because till now, I am still uncertain how to get to the lectures’ venues.
Today is Singapore's National Day. Going to follow my friends to watch the procession and the display of pyrotechnics. But, no matter how good or spectacular is it, I still prefer 31 August. Malaysia is the land that I was born.( sounds patriotic…haha!)
Going to have my lunch soon. And I will keep on update my blog from today onwards. All my friends, keep in touch ya!
